Raquel Plitt

Hello!

I am Raquel Plitt

My profile

Strategy / Business Development

In all my roles, I have had a key responsibility in common: collecting and understanding qualitative and quantitative data to create actionable insights that result in business impact, measured by 1) revenue growth, 2) increased customer satisfaction, and 3) relevancy of the company and its products.

Project and Product Management

Within each role I have excelled by breaking down a challenge into bite-size activities and establishing the best approach, processes, and tools to accomplish each plan on time and on budget.

I was immersed in the agile/SCRUM approach and learned JIRA software while developing a Digital Book Fair in 2020. I obtained a CAPM® certification by the Project Management Institute in November 2020.

Account / Partner Management

The bread and butter of my background. I have built customer relationships based on trust, launched strategic partnerships informed by market expertise, and increased sales revenue year-over-year. I deliver these results by gaining knowledge of customer needs, executing step-by-step solutions, and applying my interpersonal skills.

My strengths

Creativity

I thrive on the opportunity for creative problem solving. I find unique, efficient, and engaging solutions to support everyday activities and meet new challenges. I love connecting past experiences, market knowledge, and inspiration from other industries to generate new ideas that clear an obstacle, engage with a customer, or create a profitable new product.

Interpersonal skills

I have a talent for leading honest conversations. I have put my emotional IQ to excellent use over my career to establish trust-based relationships with customers and colleagues, to negotiate, to manage conflict, and to influence — externally and internally — in order to reach the desired outcome.

Adaptability

I have mastered the capacity to identify the requirements and key goals of simultaneous activities, each with particular priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders. I tailor the approach, tools, and techniques to establish individual plans of action that satisfy stakeholders’ expectations and colleagues’ support needs.

My edge

International

I have lived in Spain, the UK, and the US, I have maintained relationships with key customers in Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Australia, and I have worked with professionals from very different markets. With this background, I bring perspective on different consumer behaviors and how content and platform trends develop and travel across industries and markets globally.

Art and Philosophy education

The analytical skills and critical thinking I acquired during my arts and humanities education have shaped the way I approach business development and problem solving every day. It provides me a nuanced outlook to understand data, surveys, and market research.

Bilingual Spanish / English

I speak, read, write, and sing in Spanish (native) and English (full professional proficiency, 14+ years studying and working in London and New York).

Outside work

Social

I am a social being. I am happiest when connecting with people daily, both at work and outside the office. My favorite after work activity: game night.

Curious

I love learning and trying out new experiences in and outside my comfort zone. This has taken the form of moving homes across continents, reading a lot of non-fiction, and exploring a long list of outside-activities and creative workshops.

Crafty

When I am not out and about you can most likely find me at home absorbed in a craft and listening to an audiobook or podcast. Top craft activities right now: painting, knitting, and tuning-up furniture.
